About Us
The 2005 - 2009 Business Initiative examined the relationship between business and migration to help businesses play a constructive role in shaping a more humane and effective refugee and migration policy agenda, building on its own resources and experiences.
Policy Avenues:
- Business involvement in policy discussions: contact points, multi-stakeholder platforms, dialogue with public and governmental authorities
- Diversity policies and human resources: focus on potential, identification of good practice
- Development of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR): awareness-building, identification of frontrunners
- Business responsibility and solutions to global issues (e.g. brain drain / circular migration)
- Rights agenda: identification of protection gaps, challenges and recommendations
- Promotion of relevant initiatives in the field (e.g. ILO Multilateral Framework on Labour Migration)
