Priorities
As part of its 2010 – 2015 Strategic Plan, THP developed a short-to-medium-term action plan addressing four key priorities. This reassessment reflects the fast changing nature of migration and development across the world, and focuses the scope of THP’s efforts with the aim of ensuring that stakeholders continue to receive value from the organization.
Furthermore, the development of the four areas identified as priorities is intended to build the foundations, over a 24 month period, for a shift to a policy-to-practice approach.
The four key areas identified as priorities, seen as a virtual circle in which each area reinforces the other, are:
- Evidence Base / Research - creating an evidence base of existing research in the field of migration policy and identifying research gaps
- Business Sector as a primary working strand
- Cities as a primary working strand
- Communication - developing a virtual platform and other communication activities so as to facilitate and accelerate the development of actionable solutions in the field of migration policy
